The first picture is an extreme macro close up using a wide angle setting on the lens, and the second is a normal lens equivalent.

My wrist is only slightly bigger than yours (6 1/4) and I have what yours has. 4 full at 6:00 and 5 full at 12:00 ( plus the small links at both ends as they originally came). Unless you are going to dive with a thick wetsuit I would say aim to have the glidelock a couple to a few notches from the smallest setting so you can tighten the watch .
